Re: Some (annoying) things to know about servers merge !
Hyde... just pay one month... We're literally broke at the moment, I'm on disability for the forseeable future, and even without that downloading the game and then patching up is a fair hassle. I might see about rolling placeholder fr00bs and then deleting them and taking their names ... anyone kno...

Re: Some (annoying) things to know about servers merge !
I wish there was a way for old players to log in just to get their names/etc in order (for instance ... there WAS a Doctorhyde on RK1 that was older than me, but inactive for close to a decade now). Hopefully they toss out a free month soon. Anyway for inactive players to know if they lost their nam...

If a trox Doc still can't get the 300 Support brain in, no way a Keeper will. And last I heard there wasn't enough added for Docs.

Re: Bad news: New Org cities will be MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE!
Alternate idea (and I'm not married to any of them, just a thought): At the beginning of each month schedule an org-wide city raid. Chain them between AP and GoA cities until enough loot (usually bots of course) drop to cover the cost. If an org member wants to buy the bots for a fair market price (...

Re: TSW GOING F2P: Subscription No Longer Required! + FAQ
meh, I gave FC a piece of my mind ... buried deep in a forums thread ... that they likely won't ever see.
No worries, I wasn't playing anyway so I am responsible for that part of the loss of value. But doesn't change the fact that FC really messed with their loyal customers on this one.

Re: Auxiliary weapons 1&2: rocket and chainsaw + 8 slots hotbar
Rocket Launcher. This -sounds- eerily familiar. Please tell me they aren't going to do the whole "this weapon is ineffective against players but works against mechs / this weapon is ineffective against mechs but works against players" concept over again? PS. Yeah, I haven't even logged in ...

Re: Unused but reserved names? Yeah, they're gone.
The difference was in AO at least they bothered to have an actual character on that toon name. And in AO they did wipe some lowb toons at least once if not twice.
I'm hoping they eventually do it in TSW ... but ... I am not really playing atm anyway so it isn't such a big concern

Unused but reserved names? Yeah, they're gone.
Neither of the toon names I really wanted were available because someone reserved them before me. So I asked Funcom when, if ever, these names would be made available. I thought it was fairly reasonable to think that at some point they would release them. Nope ... response to my inquiry came a coupl...

Re: FC: State of the Game, July 10th 2012
right now you send 1 guy to an instance, and when he joins. everyone gets teleported there anyway. so it wont make that much difference tho. except that you remove allot of pressure on the chat servers. For people in organized Cabals, yes, but most of the "dungeon finder" usage is by peop...

Re: FC: State of the Game, July 10th 2012
I'm a bit scared of a dungeon finder in TSW. I mean, heck yeah, I'll use it ... but in WoW / Rift / etc ... you had a trinity with a well defined listed of who could claim what role in the group. I can see a LOT of people with a LOT of weird builds thinking that they can do their job ... and being w...

Re: SSD big issues - I'll be back asap - plz inform ppl
Mine with the issue was Corsaid Force 3 ... updating was simple, ran a .exe in Windows and it updated. No reboot was required. Fixed it for me. Only problem was ... I had to reinstall my system 4 times in a week because of the issue before I got the idea that it was a SSD BIOS issue. Ahhhhh ... we'r...

Sounds almost identical to my SSD bug from months ago that ate my customized AO UI. Fingers crossed. Upgrading my SSD BIOS cured it.
