I'm not sure I want to preorder right now. They're offering a lifetime subscription model if you purchase the Grandmaster Pack. That's 250 euro/dollars. To me that's a sign of desperation from a developer.

Also there seems to be a problem preordering with your current TSW account if you signed up for beta. You'll have to create a new one, then when the game is released merge it with your FunCom account.

$250 for AO lifetime would have been a steal.

$250 for AoC lifetime would have been ... umm, maybe breaking even?


Games in general:

$250 for WoW lifetime would have been a steal

$250 for Rift lifetime would have been a waste

$250 for Warhammer would have been OUCH

... it is an interesting option, but I would need beta access before bothering. Even IF the game is spot-on for me ... that doesn't stop them from pulling a free-to-play later. At $15/month + $60 for the initial purchase that would be a 1 year subscription. Not terrible ... but not necessarily great.

However, June 19th is a day after I get older, so I might just treat myself.
