Rubber-banding
The engineers have a test case that reliably reproduces the "rubber-banding" problem. This means that we can expect to see a code change, and a very small/quick update that fixes this problem, relatively soon.
Unfortunately, that does not mean a fix will be included within the current server downtime. Even if we wanted to rush out some untested code (hint - you do not want this), it takes a couple of hours to get a new version together.
The rubber-banding problem is associated with switching between active abilities that...
(a) slow you down
(b) use a different weapon than your current weapon.
So... the best work-around advice we can offer for now, is: try to use Instant abilities and/or consumers that use the same weapon as your builders.
No, I don't know when a fix will be out. Yes, I know it's frustrating.
