AS (Aimed Shot) / AS skill recharge table

As more Aimed Shot weapons have been introduced recently,
for more professions, I thought I should disclose something in the making.

So here is an AS recharge times vs AS skill that I prepared
for the (upcoming-yes-some-day-when-I-have-the-time) AP website.

Notes:
  • - The equation used is as follows:
    • R = (40 x r) - (3/100 x A)
      where:
      R : AS recharge
      r : weapon regular recharge speed
      A : Aimed Shot skill

      The real equation should include, for a very little effect in most cases,
      the weapon attack speed "a":
      R = (40 x r) - (3/100 x A) + a - 1

      where:
      R : AS recharge
      r : weapon regular recharge speed
      A : Aimed Shot skill
      a : weapon attack speed
    AS is usually considered capped at 11s
    (in fact, it should be: 10 + a, where "a" is weapon attack speed and only the first digit of "a" is considered)



    - The table automatically doesn't display negative values as they make no sense
    (they are skipped and appear as blank cells.)

    - AS is currently capped at 11 seconds. Values close to 11s are displayed on a yellow background
    with a dark bold and dark red font.

    - Maybe the table should skip any valued below 10 or something?
I'll let our knowledgeable weapons masters (especially agents) explain with examples...
and also check if data is accurate. It should be, guaranteed at 99.9%.

Good stuff. Notes:

- Values below 10s are pointless.
- Capped AS recharge is actually 10s + weapon-recharge-time IF I'm not mistaken. So for your Ofab Tiger Mk 6 you'd be capped at 11.6s recharge. So for your Enchanted Waterfall Eye Wind Onehander you'd be capped at 11.12s recharge.
- The decimals aren't visible when spamming AS. But, there's strong evidence that AO works in milliseconds.
- If you get high enough AS skill (I don't know the breaking points) you will be unable to hit the lowest multipliers; f.e. my agent hits for ~9k minimum.
- The breaking point of a new multiplier is 95 AS skill. First multiplier available at 0 AS skill, second available at 95 AS, third available at 190 AS, etc.
- CriticalIncrease makes it easier to hit the higher multipliers, BUT, everyone and their dog has CriticalDecrease items aplenty now so CriticalIncrease isn't all that effective (anymore).
- This is because CriticalIncrease is halved for every prof except Martial Artist in PvP, so to counteract 10 CriticalIncrease you only need 5 CriticalDecrease. IIRC everyone has 3 base CriticalIncrease.
- Alternatively, Add Damage cranks up your AS damage too.. and unlike CriticalIncrease, it's guaranteed to increase the AS damage every time you use it.

I'll verify who's right on the AS cap later, using a Supernova since its attack time is so much more than its recharge time. :)

Can anyone, especially our PvP experts, tell me if this work I made in 2009 is still looking valid please?

I have little time to investigate and I'd like to add it to Notwar's site

yup still looks good.

I can give you some nice tables as well that came from the AS testing Gatester did.

The tables show the cutoffs for theminimum skill needed in order to lose the 1x multiplier (ie. only hit 2x multiplier and higher) and the 2x cutoff (ie. only hit 3x multiplier and higher).

I'll load them up on google documents, but I'll also make pictures so you can link the picture directly.

Gimme, Noobas! :D All you can and I'll see the best way to use them, reformat, change the nature of the document maybe (script, database, ...)
