@Paladins it is with great pleasure that I announce that the Paladin of the Month for February is our local PVP hero, Cyreidan! (Pictured on their impressively dressed, 20 year old froob MA, Deranden). This month is a special occasion as its the first nominated Paladin which means their actions we're so appreciated by another member that they reached out to personally commend them for it.
I usually only get to see Cyreidan in passing as they are logging off, bloodied and bruised from waging war on all of our behalf so that I, and everyone else in AP, get to enjoy the luxuries of org contracts. Contracts, towers and PVP are generally an afterthought with @Bonniedoom_AP, the nominator, recently having to guide myself and a couple others through the tower planting process. While the intricacies of tower wars and PVP might be unfamiliar to most, it doesn't take much to get an appreciation of the work they are putting in to benefit us all.
I dare say most of you have gone to cast a nano and realised you are a few points short compared to yesterday without changing a thing. I know I have and that can be the invisible hand of org contracts at work. They empower us with a myriad of stats and the more land we own the more contracts and power we get without planting a single tower, and when we own nothing we get none.
We all know the state of PVP in AO in 2026. Its nothing short of a tireless campaign to wage war in a skillful, honest manner only to see that work unraveled in a matter of seconds by the ne'er-do-well's that unfortunately plague this game. However, all that does seemingly little to dissuade Cyreidan from setting out each night and capturing lands on our behalf. Doing that all important work in the background to provide a benefit to all of us peacefully enjoying our time in AO.
Well done Cyreidan, I hope to continue seeing you updating the org chat on how many tower fields you've managed to take each morning!
